Yahoo Video Search API documentation for developers who need Yahoo video results as JSON. Scrappa's GET /api/yahoo/videos endpoint returns about 60 videos per page with link, embed link, thumbnail, duration, source site and description.
How to call the endpoint
Send a GET request with a required q and your API key in the x-api-key header. Page with page (1-10). Yahoo has about 4 pages for most queries; a page past the end returns an empty data list and is not billed. Narrow the set with duration (short, medium, long), age (day, week, month, year) and site (youtube, vimeo, dailymotion, cnn, msn, mtv, cbsnews, foxnews). Each value returns a different set of videos. Some sites have few or no videos for a query.
Response fields
Each video has position, title, url, embed_url (when the site offers one), thumbnail, duration, duration_seconds, source, domain, views and description. With duration, videos outside the length band are removed. has_more tells you if another page is likely.
